Toronto police have charged a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy in connection with an assault at Woodbine Beach that occurred on July 10, 2026. The incident took place in the area of Lake Shore Boulevard East and Coxwell Avenue.
Details of the assault
According to police, the two suspects allegedly assaulted a victim at the beach. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene. The suspects were identified and arrested shortly after the incident.
The 20-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, faces charges of assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, faces similar charges.

Investigators are still gathering evidence and are urging anyone with information to come forward. “We are asking witnesses or anyone who may have video footage to contact police,” said Constable David Hopkinson in a statement.
