Missing B.C. Man's Vehicle Found Burned on Remote Road

Mounties report that the vehicle belonging to a missing British Columbia man was discovered burned on a remote road in the province's northern interior. Michael Randolf Kowalchuk, 57, has not been seen by his family since July 2024, according to police.

Vehicle Found Destroyed

Kowalchuk's white 2003 Cadillac Escalade SUV was located “burned and destroyed” on an unnamed road near Granisle, B.C., that same summer. The RCMP have not released further details about the circumstances of the fire or any potential suspects.

Granisle is a small village on Babine Lake, approximately 250 kilometres northwest of Prince George. The area is sparsely populated and heavily forested.

Investigation Ongoing

Police continue to investigate the disappearance and are asking anyone with information to come forward. No arrests have been made in connection with the case.
