EllisDon & Impulse Partners Crown 2025 ConTech Accelerator Winners
2025 ConTech Accelerator Winners Announced in Mississauga

EllisDon Corporation, in collaboration with Impulse Partners, has successfully concluded the third edition of its ConTech Accelerator program. The initiative, designed to fast-track the adoption of innovative technologies on construction sites across Canada, culminated in a final pitch event at EllisDon's headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.

Showcasing the Future of Construction

Following a demanding selection process, eight finalist startups earned the opportunity to present their groundbreaking solutions directly to industry leaders. The event, held on December 17, 2025, marked the finale of an intensive three-day program. Finalists participated in guided project tours and engaged in critical feedback sessions with EllisDon's field teams, operations managers, and C-Suite executives, gaining invaluable real-world insights to refine their offerings.

Brandon Milner, Chief Information Officer & Senior Vice President at EllisDon, emphasized the program's core mission. "Technology is the blueprint to the future of construction," Milner stated. "ConTech is about solving real problems on real jobsites. This year’s cohort showed how practical innovation can improve safety, quality, and productivity while laying out the foundation for how we’ll build tomorrow."

Meet the Winning Innovators

The 2025 ConTech Accelerator winners represent a diverse range of solutions aimed at tackling key industry challenges:

Birdsview: This company offers a rapid, user-friendly X-Ray vision technology for concrete assessment. It allows construction professionals to "see" inside concrete structures and visualizes the data into a detailed 3D BIM model.

Cyphra Autonomy: Focused on automation, Cyphra builds autonomous robotic haulers. Their technology aims to reduce labour costs, enhance jobsite safety, and boost overall operational efficiency for construction crews.

BuildCheck AI: Leveraging artificial intelligence, this startup deploys AI agents to read and interpret construction drawings in PDF format. The system identifies potential design errors early in the process, helping to prevent costly change orders, RFIs, and project delays.

Veristart: A technology-driven firm specializing in jobsite safety and equipment security. Their cloud-connected access control system is engineered to ensure that only trained and authorized operators can operate heavy machinery, addressing a critical safety concern.

Pathway to Industry Integration

With the selection phase complete, EllisDon and Impulse Partners will now enter a close collaboration phase with the winning companies. The partners will provide their deep industry expertise and access to a vast accelerator network to help rapidly advance product development, facilitate pilot projects on active jobsites, and foster joint innovation within the construction sector.

The program underscores a significant commitment to modernizing Canada's construction industry through strategic support for homegrown technological talent. For more details on the accelerator and its participants, visit the official program website.
