Cannabix Lands First Australian Order for BreathLogix Alcohol Screeners
Cannabix Secures First Australian Order for Breathalyzer Tech

Vancouver-based Cannabix Technologies Inc. has marked a significant international milestone, securing its first distributor order from Australia for its autonomous alcohol breathalyzer devices. The order, placed by exclusive distribution partner Breathalyser Sales & Service Pty Ltd., represents the inaugural international shipment for Cannabix's BreathLogix product line.

A Strategic Partnership Down Under

The order follows an exclusive distribution agreement signed earlier in 2025 between Cannabix and Breathalyser SSP. This partnership grants the Australian firm the rights to represent Cannabix's BreathLogix devices across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. Breathalyser SSP is a established leader in the Australian market, supplying alcohol and drug testing equipment to a wide range of industries from its offices in Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Rav Mlait, CEO of Cannabix Technologies, expressed enthusiasm about the development. "Cannabix is excited to receive first orders from Australia for its BreathLogix Alcohol devices as the Company works to deliver innovative new technologies to market," Mlait stated. He highlighted the distributor's extensive experience in deploying breath alcohol testing systems to enhance worker safety across various sectors.

How BreathLogix Enhances Workplace Safety

The BreathLogix system is designed for pre-access screening in industrial and safety-sensitive environments. The device provides a rapid check for breath alcohol content (BAC) and simultaneously captures a photo of the user to verify identity. It delivers precise BAC readings on its screen and can send real-time alerts via SMS or email to managers when a positive result is detected.

This immediate notification allows for swift intervention to prevent potential workplace injuries or property damage caused by impairment. All test data is logged and managed through a dedicated web portal called 'Connect.' The technology is versatile, capable of integration with access control systems like doors, turnstiles, and vehicle fleet management systems.

Key Features Driving Adoption

Ben Smit, Managing Director of Breathalyser Sales & Service Pty Ltd., pointed to several features that make BreathLogix attractive to employers. "BreathLogix delivers several key features that are important to employers including the ability to rapidly test for breath alcohol, integration capabilities, replaceable sensor cartridge technology and cloud reporting to name a few," Smit said. He emphasized that unmanned, pre-access alcohol screening constitutes a major segment of their business, serving industries such as mining, oil and gas, trucking, and warehousing.

The BreathLogix device is available with both contactless and straw-operated modes, facilitating quick testing procedures. Its applications extend beyond pre-access checks to include start-of-shift testing, mandated screenings, random tests, and post-incident investigations.

This first international order, received on December 30, 2025, signals a successful market entry for Cannabix's alcohol screening technology outside of North America and represents a tangible step in the company's global commercialization strategy for its breath testing devices.
