The Escapade Music Festival is set to electrify Ottawa from June 26 to 28, 2026, drawing thousands of attendees to Lansdowne Park for a weekend of electronic dance music. The festival, which features international DJs and local artists, is the marquee event among a variety of activities available in the capital this weekend.

Escapade Music Festival Takes Center Stage

Now in its 12th year, Escapade will host over 40 performers across multiple stages, with headliners including Martin Garrix and Alesso. Organizers expect more than 60,000 attendees over the three days, according to a festival spokesperson. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily, with after-parties at nearby venues.

Other Weekend Highlights

Beyond Escapade, Ottawa offers a range of events. The Ottawa Titans baseball team plays a home series against the New York Boulders at Ottawa Stadium, with games Friday through Sunday. Meanwhile, the Ottawa Farmers' Market at Brewer Park features local produce and artisan goods on Saturday morning. Art lovers can visit the National Gallery of Canada, which is showcasing a new exhibition on Indigenous contemporary art.

Outdoor and Family Activities

Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the Rideau Canal pathways or take a guided tour of Parliament Hill. The Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau offers family-friendly exhibits, including a special display on Arctic exploration. For those seeking relaxation, the ByWard Market hosts street performers and live music throughout the weekend.

Safety and Travel Advisory

Given the large crowds expected at Escapade, the Ottawa Police Service advises attendees to use public transit, as parking near Lansdowne Park is limited. OC Transpo will run extra buses and O-Train service until 1 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Weather forecasts predict sunny skies with highs near 28°C, though attendees should stay hydrated and wear sunscreen.

“We’re thrilled to bring this festival back to Ottawa and provide a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone,” said an Escapade organizer. With a packed schedule of music, sports, and culture, the weekend promises something for all residents and visitors.
