Toronto police are asking for the public's help to identify a man wanted in connection with an unprovoked daytime assault in the city's east end.
Incident details
The assault took place on the afternoon of June 28, 2026, in the area of Danforth Avenue and Main Street. According to investigators, the victim was approached by a man who then attacked them without any prior interaction or provocation. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Police have released a video of the suspect in hopes of identifying him. They describe him as a man in his 20s or 30s with a thin build, last seen wearing a dark hoodie and jeans.
