A 44-year-old Stony Plain man is in custody and facing a series of serious child sexual abuse and exploitation charges following an investigation by the Parkland RCMP. Brian Jenkins was arrested after police identified multiple alleged victims.
Traffic Stop Leads to Major Investigation
The investigation began on April 27, when officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven in what they described as a concerning manner. During the stop, police discovered the driver was in violation of court-imposed conditions that prohibited him from having contact with anyone under the age of 16.
This initial breach led the Parkland RCMP's specialized investigations unit to take over the case. Their probe quickly expanded, leading to the identification of four additional victims connected to a range of other alleged offences.
Extensive List of Charges Laid
Brian Jenkins now faces a lengthy list of criminal charges. The charges include:
- Four counts of breach of a prohibition order
- Two counts of making child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Two counts of possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Sexual interference
- Invitation to sexual touching
- Making sexually explicit material available to a minor
- Child luring
- Accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material
Police confirmed that Jenkins remains in custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 17, 2025, in St. Albert.
