RCMP Appeal for Additional Victims in Sexual Assault Investigation Spanning Decades

Parkland RCMP are making a public appeal for potential victims to come forward in connection with an ongoing sexual assault investigation that has already identified multiple alleged victims. The investigation has revealed a pattern of alleged offenses that may extend back several decades.

Investigation Timeline and Details

Mounties initially received a report of a sexual assault involving a young girl in October 2025. Following this report, the Parkland RCMP Special Investigations Unit assumed control of the case and subsequently identified five additional alleged victims through their investigative work.

The investigation began with a report of sexual assault that occurred in the summer of 2025 involving a female youth, explained Cpl. Rachel Geense of the Parkland RCMP Special Investigations Unit in an official press release. Further investigation uncovered additional victims with allegations dating as far back as 1984.

Due to the extensive timeframe during which these offenses are alleged to have occurred, authorities have expressed concern that additional victims may exist who have not yet contacted law enforcement.

Arrest and Charges

Police have arrested and charged Patrick Willis Fair, a 69-year-old resident of Spruce Grove, with five counts of sexual assault. Following his arrest, Fair appeared before a justice of the peace and was subsequently released. He is scheduled to return to court on March 25 at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert.

To assist in identifying potential additional victims, police have released a physical description of the accused:

  • Fair complexion
  • Height: 5 feet 11 inches
  • Weight: Approximately 176 pounds
  • Slender build
  • White hair
