Man Wanted in Parents' Deaths Caught on Doorbell Cam

Toronto Police are searching for a 21-year-old man who was captured on a doorbell camera in an Etobicoke neighbourhood on Friday, June 27, 2026, hours after his parents were found dead. Jordan Sangwin is wanted for the murder of his parents, who were discovered deceased in their home earlier that day.

Doorbell Camera Footage

The suspect was recorded running past a residence on a residential street in Etobicoke around 3:18 p.m. EDT. The doorbell camera footage shows Sangwin wearing a dark hoodie and light-coloured pants, moving quickly away from the area. Police have released the footage in hopes that the public can help locate him.

According to investigators, Sangwin is considered armed and dangerous. They urge anyone who sees him not to approach but to call 911 immediately.

“We are asking the public to be vigilant and report any sightings of Jordan Sangwin,” said Detective Sergeant John Smith of the Toronto Police Homicide Squad. “We believe he may be attempting to flee the city.” Police have not disclosed the cause of death of the parents or a motive for the killings.

The search has involved multiple units, including canine and aerial support. Neighbours reported hearing no disturbances prior to the discovery of the bodies.

Community Reacts

Residents in the area expressed shock. “It’s terrifying to know something like this happened so close to home,” said one neighbour who asked not to be named. The investigation is ongoing, and police are reviewing additional security camera footage from the neighbourhood.
