Windsor police have charged a 43-year-old man in connection with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in the downtown area. The arrest occurred on July 7, 2026, following an investigation into an incident that took place during the early morning hours of July 1.
Details of the Assault
According to the Windsor Police Service, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault on July 5. The investigation revealed that the suspect led the teenage girl behind a business in the 400 block of Pitt Street West. Police stated that the man removed his clothing and the victim's clothing before sexually assaulting her.
Arrest and Charges
Officers located and arrested the suspect on July 7 in the area of Park Street East and Ouellette Avenue. The man has been charged with sexual assault. His identity has not been released, and he is expected to appear in court.
