Toronto Police Seek Suspect in Two Sexual Assaults Near Yonge and St. Clair

Toronto Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect connected to two sexual assaults that occurred in the Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue area on Friday, May 15, within a span of less than two hours.

The first incident took place at approximately 4:15 p.m., when a man approached a victim walking in the area and sexually assaulted them. The suspect was last seen heading toward Pleasant Boulevard. About an hour and a half later, at 5:55 p.m., the same man approached another victim in the same vicinity and committed a similar assault. Police have confirmed that the two victims are not known to each other.

The suspect is described as between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a heavy build. He has dark braided hair and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants, and brown and black shoes.

Man Charged with Second-Degree Murder in Fatal Etobicoke Stabbing

In a separate incident, Toronto Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning. Officers responded to a call at an apartment building in the Kipling Avenue and Albion Road area of Etobicoke around 12 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found a victim suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Abdi Wali Aden, 33, of Toronto. Gordon Gauvin, 32, also of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. This marks Toronto's ninth homicide of 2026.

Man Seriously Injured in Milton Motorcycle Crash

Halton Regional Police are investigating a serious collision that left a 54-year-old motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred on Sunday at approximately 3:41 p.m. on Twiss Road, just north of Derry Road in Milton.

According to police, a 17-year-old male driving a Honda sedan was traveling southbound on Twiss Road while the motorcycle was heading northbound. As both vehicles navigated a sharp curve, they collided head-on. The motorcyclist was taken to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries.
