Parks was reported missing after she failed to return home. Police launched a search, and her remains were found three months later in a wooded area. The cause of death was determined to be homicide, but no suspects have ever been charged. The Nova Scotia Rewards for Justice Program has offered a reward for information leading to an arrest, but the case has gone cold.
