B.C. RCMP Renew Appeal 2 Years After Woman's Disappearance

The Northern Rockies RCMP have renewed their appeal for information in the disappearance of Karen Tessier, a 57-year-old woman last seen on July 9, 2024. Police believe she was murdered.

Disappearance and Investigation

Tessier was reported missing from Fort St. John, British Columbia, two years ago. Despite extensive searches and public appeals, no trace of her has been found. RCMP have classified her case as a suspected homicide.

“Ashley’s family is still waiting,” said Corporal Madonna Saunderson, referring to Tessier's daughter. “We need the public’s help to bring closure to this family.”

Appeal for Tips

Authorities are urging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward. The RCMP have set up a dedicated tip line and are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.

“Someone knows what happened to Karen,” Saunderson added. “It’s time to do the right thing.”

Broader Context

The case is one of several missing persons investigations in British Columbia. The RCMP continue to work with community groups and victim services to support the family.
