Hamilton police are investigating a targeted home invasion that occurred early Friday morning. Three masked men forced their way into a residence in the city's east end, according to authorities.

Police responded to a call at approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 11, 2026, in the area of King Street East and Ottawa Street. The suspects, described as three males wearing masks and dark clothing, entered the home through a rear door. They confronted the occupants before fleeing with undisclosed items. No injuries were reported.
Detective Sergeant Jim Callender of the Hamilton Police Service told reporters, “This was a targeted incident, and the occupants were specifically known to the suspects. We are urging anyone with information to come forward.”
Investigation Ongoing
Police have not released descriptions of the suspects beyond their masks and dark attire. They are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses. The investigation is ongoing, and patrols have been increased in the area.
