“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time,” said OPP Constable James Taylor. “We urge anyone with information about the crash to come forward.”

Rural Road Safety Concerns

ATV crashes are not uncommon in rural areas of Ontario, where off-road vehicles are often used for recreation and farming. In 2025, Ontario reported 34 ATV-related fatalities, a slight increase from the previous year. The OPP reminds all ATV operators to wear helmets, follow speed limits, and avoid impaired driving.

The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
