A 34-year-old woman from Brampton has been charged with assaulting a police officer following an incident in Waterloo on June 28, 2026. Waterloo Regional Police responded to a disturbance call in the area of King Street North and Weber Street West around 10:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers encountered a woman who became aggressive and allegedly struck one of the officers. The officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Charges Laid
The accused, identified as Sarah Thompson, faces one count of assaulting a peace officer and one count of causing a disturbance. She was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing on June 29. Police have not released further details about the nature of the disturbance.
