A tragic house fire in Langley claimed the life of a teenager early Wednesday morning, according to local authorities.
Emergency Response to 248 Street
Langley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Zynal Sharoom confirmed that emergency services were called to a residence on the 6500-block of 248 Street at approximately 7 a.m. on January 7, 2026.
Upon arrival, crews from the Township of Langley Fire Department encountered a dire scene. The structure was already fully engulfed in flames, making immediate rescue efforts extremely challenging.
A Tragic Discovery
Once the fire was brought under control, firefighters made a heartbreaking discovery inside the home. They located the body of a 15-year-old youth, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
