Marriott Introduces Baseball-Themed Rawlings Room at Rogers Centre Hotel
As the Toronto Blue Jays prepare for their first game of the 2026 season this Friday, the Marriott hotel located within Rogers Centre has revealed a new stadium-view suite designed in collaboration with Rawlings, offering an immersive experience for dedicated baseball enthusiasts. This announcement comes just in time for the season opener, adding a unique lodging option for fans visiting Toronto.
Clubhouse-Inspired Design and Unique Features
While many visitors are familiar with the existing suites that overlook the field at the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel, the hotel chain has renovated one of these spaces to create The Rawlings Room. This split-level suite features a clubhouse-inspired aesthetic, decorated with distinctive baseball-themed items and official Rawlings baseball equipment, aiming to replicate the atmosphere of a professional team's locker room.
Guests enter the field-view suite through a hallway adorned with Rawlings bats covering the walls and ceiling, leading to a vibrant red bedroom designed to evoke the energy of a baseball clubhouse. Custom elements include closets transformed into player-style lockers stocked with bats, batting gloves, fielding gloves, helmets, and photographs, enhancing the authentic feel.
The bedroom area boasts a king-size bed surrounded by a headboard and side tables crafted to resemble a classic wooden dugout bench, complete with dugout-style storage. On the second level, the living room and viewing area highlight a striking wall mural composed entirely of Rawlings baseballs that spell out 1977, paying homage to the Blue Jays' inaugural season.
Accommodations and Special Amenities
The suite is furnished with an oversized baseball glove chair, a sofa bed, and leather accent chairs, providing comfort and style. Similar to standard stadium-view rooms with a king-size bed, this suite can accommodate up to eight guests while sleeping four, making it ideal for group visits or family outings.
A standout feature is the inclusion of a Gold Glove Trophy displayed in the room, allowing fans to take photos with this iconic award. This addition is particularly appealing for baseball fanatics seeking a memorable stay during game days or special events at Rogers Centre.
Limited-Time Promotion and Booking Details
Marriott is promoting the newly designed suite with a limited-time draft upgrade offer. Guests who book a reservation under the Larger Guest Room, Baseball Stadium View, 1 King category from Saturday through the end of April and complete an online upgrade request form will be eligible to enter a draw for a chance to stay in The Rawlings Room.
After this promotional period, the room will be available for direct booking via TheRawlingsRoom.com or torontomarriott.com. Although the official news release did not specify pricing, as of Thursday afternoon, a one-night stay in a standard stadium-view room with a king-size bed for the opening day on Friday was listed at $554 on Marriott's website, suggesting the new suite may command a premium rate.
This innovative offering aligns with ongoing enhancements at Rogers Centre, providing fans with unique experiences beyond the ballpark. It follows recent upgrades at the venue, including viral attractions like the grand slam sofa, further cementing Toronto as a destination for baseball enthusiasts.
