The Allen County Coroner's Office has determined that 75-year-old Anita Grayson died from acute exacerbation of congestive heart failure following a physical altercation at a Tim Hortons in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The coroner found no significant contributory injuries leading to her death, according to reports from WANE and WPTA.
Details of the Incident
On May 13, Grayson entered the Tim Hortons location to complain about a drive-thru order. Police reported that she confronted and shouted at a 17-year-old employee. A 20-year-old shift manager intervened and ordered Grayson to leave. Instead, Grayson moved toward the teen employee, and the supervisor placed her hands on Grayson to block her. Grayson then shoved the supervisor and punched her in the face.
Surveillance footage captured the altercation, which ended when other employees separated Grayson and the supervisor. Minutes later, Grayson was found unresponsive on the floor. Emergency personnel transported her to a hospital, where she later died.
