Nvidia Corp. is making a major push into the personal computer market with a new chip designed to challenge Intel Corp.'s long-standing dominance and bring AI capabilities to laptops and desktops. The company's RTX Spark Superchip, unveiled at the Computex trade show in Taipei, will debut this fall in machines from top PC brands including Dell Technologies Inc. and Lenovo Group Ltd.

RTX Spark Superchip Details

The RTX Spark Superchip combines a central processing unit (CPU) with up to 20 cores and a Blackwell-generation graphics processor featuring 6,144 cores. These components share built-in memory, enabling the chip to handle large AI models and high-end games more efficiently. The chip uses Nvidia's NVLink interface for communication, bringing data center technology to personal computers. Manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. using its 3N process, the chip was developed with assistance from MediaTek Inc.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang expressed strong enthusiasm from partners, stating, "The number of customers, the number of partners that are so excited to bring RTX to market is just incredible."
