FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour Coming to Toronto in May 2026
Soccer fans in Toronto will have a special opportunity to see the sport's most coveted prize up close this spring. The original FIFA World Cup Trophy is embarking on a cross-Canada tour presented by Coca-Cola, with Toronto scheduled to host the iconic golden statue at Nathan Phillips Square on May 25-26, 2026.
Tour Details and Canadian Schedule
The Canadian leg of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour will begin in Vancouver from April 9-11, 2026. Vancouver is one of two Canadian cities hosting World Cup matches during the tournament that kicks off on June 12, 2026. Following the Vancouver stop, the tour will proceed to Calgary on April 12 and Winnipeg on April 13 before taking a break from Canadian dates.
After traveling through the United States and Mexico, the tour returns to Canada with stops in Montreal on May 22, followed by Halifax and Ottawa before concluding with the Toronto dates. This marks the sixth time Coca-Cola, one of FIFA's longest-standing sponsors, has organized this trophy tour.
Fan Experience and Registration
According to tournament organizers, the events will offer fans more than just a viewing opportunity. The tour will feature immersive Coca-Cola fan activations, interactive soccer challenges, and appearances by FIFA legends whose names will be revealed closer to the tour dates.
Registration for tickets to the Toronto event begins on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 10 a.m. through Coca-Cola's official website. This provides fans with the rare chance to get up close to the 18-karat solid gold statue that has been hoisted by World Cup champions for decades.
Global Tour Context
The 150-day global tour began earlier in January 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will visit 30 FIFA member associations across 75 stops worldwide. According to FIFA statistics, more than four million fans across 182 locations have participated in previous trophy tours, with this year marking the 20th anniversary of the initiative.
"The FIFA World Cup represents the pinnacle of global sport and community, and we're excited to bring fans closer to the action with the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola," said Andy Buckingham, President of Coca-Cola Canada. "It will offer fans an incredible opportunity to experience the thrill and connection of football up close."

The tour precedes the opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled for June 11, 2026, in Mexico City between co-hosts Mexico and South Africa.
