Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Eric Lauer has become the latest member of the organization to exchange vows, marrying his longtime partner Emily Dobbin this past weekend in a ceremony held in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The wedding took place at the Clayton House venue in Scottsdale, with several of Lauer's Blue Jays teammates in attendance to celebrate the special occasion. Among those present were starting pitcher Shane Bieber and reliever Brendon Little, both of whom brought their spouses to join in the festivities.
According to reports, Lauer and Dobbin have been together since at least 2019, when the pitcher was still a member of the San Diego Padres organization. The couple shares a young son named Landon, who has frequently appeared in social media posts alongside his mother during the Blue Jays' recent playoff runs.

The newlyweds and several wives and girlfriends of Blue Jays players shared numerous photos and videos from the celebration across various social media platforms. Emily Little, wife of Brendon Little, posted a picture of the happy couple under a sign reading "Better together" with the caption "Congratulations to Lauers!"
Kara Bieber, wife of Shane Bieber, also shared content from the event on her Instagram Story, offering congratulations to the newly married pair. The wedding featured traditional elements alongside more contemporary touches, with Emily changing from her wedding dress into a form-fitting white bodysuit for dancing later in the evening.
The couple registered their wedding wishes on The Knot platform, listing numerous household items alongside one particularly notable request. A golf simulator priced at US$1,299 topped their registry, though it appears none of the wedding guests opted to purchase the high-ticket item for the newlyweds.

Lauer and Dobbin are not the only members of the Blue Jays organization to celebrate marital unions during this off-season period. Fellow pitcher Braydon Fisher married his fiancée Brianna Ririe in November in a Texas ceremony approximately 100 kilometers north of Fisher's hometown of League City.
Earlier this month, a substantial contingent from the 2025 Blue Jays roster attended the wedding of former teammate Bo Bichette, who recently signed a three-year, $126-million contract with the New York Mets. The ceremony took place just weeks before Bichette's free agency decision and included teammates Shane Bieber, Ernie Clement, and Max Scherzer among the attendees.
