On June 14, President Donald Trump will celebrate his 80th birthday on the ground with a UFC cage fight, but in the celestial sky he will be a Gemini battling cosmic forces.
Gemini is the astrological zodiac sign for people born on June 14. According to astrology, the art and science of interpreting planets and constellations, Trump's personality can be traced to the movements in the sky on his birth day. In astrological terms, the positions of stars and planets at birth form a "natal chart."
"He was actually born on a full moon eclipse, so that indicates he's a person who needs a lot of mirroring or outside input. He looks to the outside to feel fulfilled," said Kristina Martin, co-host of the podcast "It's a Sign! The Art of Alignment." "It can also make him pretty sensitive and perhaps prone to temper tantrums."
Solar Return and New Moon
In astrology, every birthday marks a solar return, when the sun returns to its position at birth. Astrologers examine current celestial placements to determine the energy of the year ahead. "Everyone's solar return is important because it gives us a blueprint of the next year of their life," said astrologer Lisa Stardust. For Trump, this birthday indicates a rocky year ahead for him and, by proxy, the nation.
Trump is experiencing a new moon on his birthday. "New moons are new beginnings, but every new beginning comes from another beginning's end," Stardust said. This new moon occurs in the part of the sky representing Trump's career, indicating "a lot of rebellion in his career."
"This is going to be a particularly nasty birthday for him, because the new moon is activated by Black Moon Lilith," Stardust said. Black Moon Lilith is an invisible point in space where the moon is most distant from Earth, representing a need for empowerment. During Trump's birthday, Black Moon Lilith will be in Sagittarius, known as a defender of the galaxy. "When we talk about Black Moon Lilith, we talk about the part of people that doesn't want to be subservient, the rebellion, so that's what's setting off his chart on his birthday," Stardust said. "People are really going to get on their high horse and argue with him. This is just a year of opposition for him."
Weakened Vitality
The sun returns to its birth position one day before Trump's birthday, during the waning moon's "balsamic phase." According to astrologer Celeste Brooks, this phase is "symbolic of his literal vitality." It indicates a more internal time and overall physical weakness. "You can see it in him falling asleep all the time," Brooks said. "His year ahead is defined by his weaknesses becoming more visible. He's emotionally depleted, but he's in fighting mode," because Jupiter moves in Leo, associated with pursuing goals.
Trump should also watch for the North Node and South Node, mathematical coordinates where the moon's orbit intersects the sun's path. On July 26, the South Node moves to his rising sign in Leo, representing "a release point, and there is going to be a release of his vitality," Brooks said. A solar eclipse on August 12 in Leo will "rock his world," as eclipses "point out things that we've been ignoring for a long time. They make us change and focus on things that are important in our lives," Stardust said. "He's going to feel confusion, ambiguity. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a health issue that occurred."
Heightened Gemini Nature
When Trump shares different versions of answers, that's quintessential Gemini behavior. "Gemini is the sign that's not connected to the truth. Gemini sees all the different perspectives and thinks, 'Well, your truth is yours, but my truth is different,'" Martin said. On his birthday, both his sun and moon are in Gemini, opposite his birth moon in Sagittarius. This concentration of Gemini energy may turbocharge his Gemini nature. "It's like a new Gemini version of him is going to be born, where it's going to be more dualistic, more communicative, or just a lot of talking," Martin said. "His birthday is a birth moment of this energy, it's going to start growing for the next year." This could scare or excite you, depending on your feelings about Trump.
