The former president escalated his rhetoric in a second post approximately one hour later, calling her "Marjorie 'Traitor' Green" and accusing her of having "turned Left" and "betrayed the entire Republican Party." Trump characterized Greene as a "Fake politician" in his social media diatribe.

The public falling-out began on Friday night when Trump first announced he was withdrawing his endorsement of "'Wacky' Marjorie," claiming she had been incessantly calling him while simultaneously complaining that he wouldn't take her calls.

The Georgia congresswoman stated she had not been calling Trump but instead had been sending text messages about the potential release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the notorious sex trafficker who was previously associated with Trump.

"I never thought that fighting to release the Epstein files, defending women who were victims of rape, and fighting to expose the web of rich powerful elites would have caused this, but here we are," she wrote.
The congresswoman added that the situation "truly speaks for itself" and called for "a new way forward" in politics. She went on to condemn what she described as the "toxic political industrial complex" that "thrives on ripping us all apart but never delivers anything good for the American people."
