A survivor of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was once a supporter of Donald Trump, has launched a fierce public condemnation of the former president and his administration over their handling of the Epstein case files.
A Stark Reversal of Support
In an interview with CNN's Pamela Brown on Tuesday, Haley Robson stated she has completely retracted her past support for Trump and certain officials. "I redacted any support I've ever given to him [Trump], Pam Bondi, Kash Patel. I am so disgusted with this administration," Robson declared. She called for the resignation of former Trump adviser Pam Bondi and former Pentagon official Kash Patel, and expressed a desire to see Trump impeached over the matter.
Robson's anger stems from the Department of Justice's pace in releasing documents related to Epstein. She believes Bondi should face consequences more severe than contempt for the delays. Robson, who voted for Trump in the past, spoke out following the DOJ's release of a new batch of files.
The Controversial 'Fake' Letter
Among the released documents was a letter allegedly written by Epstein to convicted sex offender Larry Nassar. The DOJ has labeled the document as "fake." The letter's contents, however, have fueled significant controversy. It included a line stating, "Our president also shares our love of young, nubile girls."
Robson interpreted this as a damning admission. "That is a confession. That is him with his friends, admitting without openly discussing details on the kinds of girls... that they are attracted to, and they're gloating about it," she told CNN, calling the implication disgusting. She was careful to note she is not directly implicating Trump in criminal activity related to Epstein, but she harshly criticized his treatment of victims.
Demands for Transparency and Accountability
Robson accused the Trump administration of theatrical gestures without real commitment, referencing a bill he signed. "You never invited us to the Capitol. You signed the bill, which you had no intention of fully being transparent. So I'm not quite sure why you even signed it, besides for theatrics," she said. She asserted that Trump's name appears in the files and questioned the administration's "resistance" to full disclosure, claiming efforts were made to hide identities.
She placed the burden of shame squarely on the men associated with Epstein. "The shame and embarrassment... belongs to the men that continue to have business and personal relationships with a known pedophile and his accomplice," Robson stated, reiterating that "the embarrassment, shame belongs to them, Trump included."
Donald Trump has not been charged with any crime in connection to the Epstein case. Resources for survivors of sexual assault include RAINN's National Sexual Assault Online Hotline and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center's website.
