WFPS Responds to Explosion and Fire in Mission Industrial

Members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) remained on scene Thursday evening after responding to reports of an explosion and fire in the Mission Industrial neighbourhood. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Mission Street on the afternoon of May 28, 2026.

Emergency Response

Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a commercial building. Crews worked quickly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the explosion is under investigation.
