Clarington Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Bowmanville Stabbing

Durham Regional Police have charged 65-year-old Theadore Joseph Hall of Clarington with attempted murder and other offences following a stabbing in Bowmanville. On Monday around 5:30 a.m., officers responded to an unknown trouble call in the Queen-Temperance Streets area after the victim flagged down a passing motorist, reporting he had been stabbed multiple times near Rotary Park. Police and emergency medical personnel provided life-saving care before the victim was transported to a trauma centre in serious condition; his condition has since been upgraded to stable. Hall was located in the Liberty Street South-Prince Street area and taken into custody without incident. He faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, assault with a weapon, theft under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. Youth Charged After Crash Injures Six in Clarington

A 17-year-old male has been charged with three counts of impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm following a collision in Clarington on April 15. According to Durham Regional Police, at approximately 11:05 a.m., a Volkswagen hatchback travelling westbound on Longworth Avenue near Jackman Road collided with a Ford SUV travelling eastbound. Six youths were injured; four were taken to hospital with minor injuries, while two were transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries. The driver of the Volkswagen was charged. Two Charged with Fraud of Vulnerable Senior in Hamilton

Hamilton Police have charged a 56-year-old male and a 54-year-old female following an investigation into the alleged financial exploitation of a vulnerable senior. On Wednesday, investigators arrested the pair after a vulnerable family member was allegedly defrauded of a substantial amount of money.
