Two individuals are facing criminal charges following a significant property crime investigation in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have confirmed the seizure of stolen items valued at over $50,000.
RCMP Investigation Leads to Major Seizure
Officers from the Kings District RCMP executed a search warrant at a property located in the rural community of Canning, Nova Scotia. The warrant was part of an ongoing probe into thefts in the region. During the search, police discovered and confiscated a large assortment of stolen goods.
The recovered property is diverse, including items such as power tools, landscaping equipment, and various household goods. The total estimated value of all seized materials exceeds fifty thousand dollars.
Charges Laid Against Two Individuals
As a direct result of the investigation, police have charged two people in connection with the stolen property. A 37-year-old man from Canning and a 36-year-old woman from nearby Waterville are now facing criminal charges.
Both individuals have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. The man is additionally charged with breaching a court order. They were both released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court at a later date.
