Toronto's North York district became the scene of a violent incident Tuesday afternoon as police rushed to investigate a shooting that left one person fighting for their life.
Emergency crews descended upon the Jane Street and Shoreham Drive area around 3:45 p.m. after reports of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood. Paramedics discovered one victim suffering from serious, potentially life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The victim was immediately transported to a trauma center via emergency run, indicating the severity of their condition. Toronto Police Service spokesperson Laura Brabant confirmed the urgent nature of the response, stating the victim required immediate medical attention.
