A quiet evening in Montreal's Saint-Henri neighborhood turned tragic this week when a 42-year-old man lost his life following a violent altercation near the Place Saint-Henri metro station.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Rue Saint-Ferdinand around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after receiving multiple reports of a stabbing incident. According to Montreal police spokesperson Véronique Dubuc, the victim was discovered with critical injuries and was immediately transported to hospital.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, the man succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival at the hospital, adding another name to Montreal's growing list of homicide victims.
