Hamilton Police Service has launched a hate crime investigation following a violent assault in the Ancaster area that left one person injured and community members concerned.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening around 8:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Jerseyville Road West and Mineral Springs Road. According to authorities, the victim was assaulted by two unidentified males who allegedly uttered hateful comments during the attack.
The victim sustained minor physical injuries and was treated at the scene by emergency medical services. While the physical wounds may heal relatively quickly, the psychological impact of such hate-motivated incidents often lingers much longer.
Police Seeking Public Assistance
Investigators are urging anyone with information about this disturbing incident to come forward. "We take all hate-motivated incidents very seriously," stated Hamilton Police in their official release.

- Both described as male, approximately 20 years old
- One suspect was wearing a black hoodie
- The second suspect was wearing a grey hoodie
- Both fled the area on foot following the assault
