Trump Boasts 'Perfect' Cognitive Test Results in Latest Medical
Trump touts 'outstanding' medical, cognitive test results

Former President Donald Trump publicly shared the results of his most recent medical evaluation on Friday, enthusiastically describing them as outstanding. This check-up marked his second physical examination within a six-month period.

Trump's Account of His Health Assessment

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump recounted his doctor's praise, stating, "The doctor said it was the best result he has ever seen as a doctor." He confirmed that the examination included an MRI, which he described as part of a standard, yearly or biennial protocol. The former president admitted, however, that he was unsure which specific organs were analyzed during the scan.

"I have no idea what they analyzed, but whatever they analyzed, they analyzed it well," Trump remarked, emphasizing that the results were as good as the medical team had ever witnessed.

Focus on Cognitive Testing

A significant portion of Trump's commentary focused on his performance in cognitive testing. He detailed taking what he called an "advanced, very advanced test on mental acuity" and proudly declared that he "aced it."

"I got a perfect score. I got the highest score. I got a perfect score," he stated, adding that this was one subject where he outperformed his political rival, President Joe Biden. This statement continues a pattern of public speculation about cognitive fitness that Trump initiated against Biden last year, and which Democrats have since turned towards the 79-year-old former president.

Context and Unreleased Records

This medical update follows an October statement from White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who confirmed a previous visit to Walter Reed Medical Center as part of a "routine yearly check up." Trump had also undergone a check-up at the Maryland facility in April.

Despite his detailed public accounts and a promise to do so, Trump did not release his full medical records during the 2024 election. He reiterated his belief on Friday that a president "should have to" take regular cognitive tests to lead the nation, putting the topic of executive health back in the spotlight.
