New Brunswick RCMP have confirmed that a heightened police presence in a Moncton neighbourhood is directly tied to the suspicious disappearance of 34-year-old Harley Snelleman. Snelleman was reported missing on May 27, 2026, and authorities have not released further details about the nature of the police activity or any potential suspects.
Investigation underway
According to RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Hans Ouellet, officers have been conducting searches and interviews in the area since the disappearance. “We are treating this as a suspicious disappearance and are dedicating significant resources to locate Mr. Snelleman,” Ouellet stated. Police have not confirmed whether any evidence has been recovered at the scene.
Snelleman was last seen in Moncton on the evening of May 27. He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Family members have expressed concern, noting that his absence is out of character.

Residents in the affected neighbourhood have reported seeing multiple police vehicles and officers conducting door-to-door inquiries. “It’s unsettling to see so many police around. We just hope they find him safe,” said local resident Marie LeBlanc.
