Man arrested for impaired driving after wrong-way crash in N.S.

A man has been arrested for impaired driving after he drove on the wrong side of the road and collided with a truck in Nova Scotia, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Details of the Incident

The RCMP responded to the crash late Monday evening. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect was traveling in the wrong direction when his vehicle struck an oncoming truck. No serious injuries were reported, but both vehicles sustained significant damage.

The driver was taken into custody and later charged with impaired driving. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. Police have not released his name pending the court appearance.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Chris Marshall emphasized the dangers of impaired driving. “This incident could have had much more severe consequences,” he said. “We urge all drivers to never get behind the wheel if they have consumed alcohol or drugs.”
