Cyclist dies in collision in northeast Calgary

A cyclist died on Saturday after a vehicle struck the bike in the northeast Calgary community of Tuxedo Park, according to Calgary police. The incident occurred on South Centre Street between 19th Avenue and 21st Avenue N.E.

After hitting the cyclist, the vehicle rammed a parked car and came to a stop at the intersection of 21st Avenue. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the driver of the offending vehicle is being provided medical treatment at this time.
