A devastating incident occurred Thursday evening when a six-year-old child was pulled from the water near Hog's Back in Ottawa, according to the Ottawa Police Service. The child was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Emergency Response
Police reported that the child was reported missing in the area of Riverside Drive and Hog's Back Road at approximately 5:10 p.m. Shortly after, the child was located in the water and brought to shore, where bystanders immediately began life-saving efforts.
Despite these efforts, the child was transported to hospital but was declared deceased upon arrival.
