Donald Trump once again attempted to rewrite history on his Truth Social platform this weekend. The president shared an apparently AI-generated image showing his three Democratic presidential election rivals — Hillary Clinton (2016), Joe Biden (2020) and Kamala Harris (2024) — wearing red MAGA-style hats declaring, “I Lost to Trump.”
Inaccurate Slogan for Biden
While the slogan was accurate on the caps worn by Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris, it was false for Biden. Biden defeated Trump in the 2020 election, winning more than 81.2 million votes to Trump’s 74.2 million, along with the Electoral College.
Trump has nevertheless spent years falsely claiming the election was stolen from him, despite courts, election officials, members of his own administration and many others refuting his arguments.
AI-Generated Imagery
The image, posted without any disclaimer, appears to be generated by artificial intelligence. It features the three Democratic figures in identical poses, each wearing a bright red hat with the phrase “I Lost to Trump” in white letters.
This is not the first time Trump has used manipulated or AI-generated content to spread misinformation about the 2020 election. His repeated false claims have been widely debunked by multiple independent audits and recounts.
