Six Arrests at Toronto Walk with Israel Event

Toronto Police have confirmed that six arrests were made during the annual Walk with Israel event held on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The arrests took place near the intersection of Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West, where the event was underway.

Details of the Arrests

Among those arrested was John Eusebio, 35, of Toronto, who faces a charge of assaulting a police officer. According to police, Eusebio was present at the event to protest but was outside the designated protest zone. He was asked multiple times to clear the walk route and move to the designated area but refused to comply. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 12.

Ghada Hamouda, 60, also of Toronto, was charged with obstructing a peace officer. Police allege that Hamouda, along with a group of protesters, left the designated protest zone and approached the entrance of Earl Bales Park. She was seen attempting to provoke attendees and, despite repeated lawful directions to return to the protest zone, refused to comply. Her court date is also set for August 12.

Diana Bosco, 39, of Toronto, was charged with obstructing a police officer after a verbal argument with a protester. During the altercation, Bosco allegedly spat in the direction of the victim and their sign. She is scheduled to appear in court on August 12.

Ali Reza Hojjati, 40, of Richmond Hill, was charged with assault. Police claim that Hojjati attended the walk and displayed a sign with anti-Israel language, walking portions of the route while taunting attendees. His actions led to a verbal confrontation between event participants and counter-protesters. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 2.

An unidentified woman was arrested for breach of the peace and was later released. Additionally, a sixth person was investigated for operating a drone and was issued a citation under Canadian aviation regulations.
