Windsor Police Seize Fentanyl, Pills, Cash in Downtown Probe

Windsor police have arrested a 37-year-old man and seized a significant quantity of fentanyl, prescription pills, and nearly $4,000 in cash as part of a street-level drug trafficking investigation in the downtown area.

Investigation Initiated by Community Tip

Patrol officers began investigating after a community member approached them at about 11:30 a.m. on June 18 to report suspected drug sales in the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue. According to police, the suspect fled the area before officers could make an arrest, but they obtained a description of the individual.

Arrest and Seizure

A few hours later, officers spotted a man matching that description in the 100 block of Wyandotte Street East and allegedly observed hand-to-hand transactions consistent with street-level drug trafficking. Police arrested the suspect without incident.
