The funding will support expansions at both Carewest Garrison Green and Carewest Sarcee facilities. At Garrison Green, seven existing bariatric spaces will undergo comprehensive upgrades to become more contemporary, accessible, and better equipped to meet residents' specialized equipment requirements. These improvements are scheduled for completion by summer 2026.
At Sarcee, the funding will facilitate the addition of a new bariatric bed alongside site enhancements that will improve safety during patient transfers, personal care procedures, and rehabilitation activities. The Sarcee upgrades are projected to be operational by fall 2026.
