Seth Meyers Mocks Trump's Brag About 'Perfect' Cognitive Test Scores
Meyers Mocks Trump's 'Perfect' Cognitive Test Brag

Seth Meyers, host of NBC's "Late Night," returned from a two-week hiatus on Monday to find that President Donald Trump had suffered a series of high-profile legal and political losses. Yet, Trump chose to highlight his performance on cognitive tests, claiming perfect scores.

In a Truth Social post over the weekend, Trump wrote: "Unlike other U.S. Presidents, none of whom have ever taken an approved, high difficulty, Cognitive Test, I scored a perfect 30 out of 30, considered 'extreme intelligence.' Are the Dumocrats really surprised? In fact, this is my fourth such test, all PERFECT or, 120 correct answers out of 120 questions asked!"

Meyers quickly pointed out that undergoing multiple cognitive tests in a year is unusual, comparing it to a police officer repeatedly asking someone to take a breathalyzer test. "First of all, it's a dementia test, not an IQ test," Meyers said. "And as a general rule, if you took a dementia test and you thought it was an IQ test, you failed both the dementia test and the IQ test."

Meyers further noted that it is not a positive sign that doctors were administering these dementia tests multiple times to Trump, and that it is nothing to brag about. "This is the fundamental problem Trump has faced his whole life," Meyers added. "He brags about stuff that you wouldn't have to brag about if the thing you were bragging about was actually true."

The segment, part of Meyers' "A Closer Look" series, highlighted the absurdity of Trump's claims and the underlying concerns about his cognitive health.
