Floravi Founder on Reconnecting with Your Sexuality

Edith Arsenault, the founder of the Canadian brand Floravi, is on a mission to help people reconnect with their sexuality through a compassionate and human-centred approach to sexual wellness. The Quebec-based company, which recently launched in pharmacies and stores across Canada including Shoppers Drug Mart, builds on a family legacy in the intimacy business.

A Family Legacy in Intimacy

Arsenault explains that her stepfather, Claude, is a pioneer in the erotic retail industry in Quebec and founded a distribution company over 40 years ago. About 20 years ago, Arsenault and her brother Julien joined the family business and gradually took on more responsibilities. Today, the siblings oversee a portfolio of brands focusing on sexual health and women’s well-being.

What is Floravi?

Floravi was born from a deep desire to support people in reconnecting with their intimacy and exploring their sexual well-being with confidence and care. The brand's mission is to empower people to explore pleasure confidently and safely, addressing a real and often overlooked need in society. Floravi offers a variety of inclusive products that enhance intimacy, self-discovery, and sexual health, with values including empowerment, confidence, accessibility, care, respect, and authenticity.

What Makes Floravi Unique?

According to Arsenault, what sets Floravi apart is its compassionate and human-centred approach to sexual wellness. She launched the brand 10 years ago based on a simple yet essential realization: too many people experience discomfort or challenges related to their sexual health without having access to reassuring, accessible, and well-adapted solutions. The brand focuses on de-stigmatizing sexual wellness and creating inclusive solutions that support real intimacy and real lives, free of shame.

Being a Canadian pioneer in this space allows Floravi to shape the conversation locally with intention. Arsenault emphasizes that the World Health Organization defines sexual health as fundamental to the overall health and well-being of individuals, couples, and families, and to the social and economic development of communities and countries.

Commitment to Sexual Health

As part of its commitment to advancing sexual health and well-being, Floravi supports organizations working to improve education and access to care. The brand has made donations to initiatives such as Movember and Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights, contributing to important conversations and resources around sexual health. Additionally, Floravi has brought together health-care professionals, including physiotherapists and sexologists, to share their expertise on a multitude of topics related to sexual health.
