The collision occurred in the area of South Fraser Way and Gladwin Road around 6:30 p.m. Police say the motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported via air ambulance to a trauma center in the Lower Mainland.

"Our thoughts are with the victim and their family during this difficult time," said Constable Mark Johnson of the Abbotsford Police Department. "We are appealing to anyone who may have seen the incident or has dashcam footage to contact us."

The motorcyclist's condition remains critical but stable as of Sunday morning.
