The warning was lifted as the severe storm system moved eastward, reducing the immediate threat of tornadoes. However, meteorologists caution that conditions remain favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms, which could produce strong winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes.

The tornado watch continues to cover areas including Regina, Moose Jaw, and surrounding communities. Residents are urged to monitor weather alerts and be prepared to take shelter if warnings are reissued. The watch is expected to remain in effect through the evening hours as unstable air persists.

Environment Canada advises individuals in the affected areas to seek shelter in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Mobile homes and vehicles are not safe during tornado conditions. If a tornado warning is issued, residents should act quickly to protect themselves.
The storm system is part of a larger weather pattern bringing unsettled conditions to the Prairies. Additional thunderstorms are possible overnight, with the risk of severe weather diminishing after midnight.
