The Sunfest world music festival returns to downtown London this weekend, offering a free, family-friendly celebration of global cultures. The festival runs from Thursday, July 9 through Sunday, July 12, transforming Victoria Park into a hub of international music, dance, and cuisine.
Music and Performances
More than 35 acts from around the world are scheduled to perform across four stages, including headliners from Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. The lineup features traditional folk ensembles, contemporary world fusion bands, and solo artists. All concerts are free and open to the public.
Food and Activities
In addition to live music, Sunfest hosts a global food market with dishes from over 20 countries, as well as artisan vendors and a children's activity zone. Organizers expect more than 200,000 attendees over the four days, according to a news release.
Impact on the Community
The festival is a major cultural and economic driver for the city. "Sunfest is one of London's signature events, drawing visitors from across the region and showcasing the diversity of our community," said a city spokesperson in a statement. Local businesses in the downtown core report increased traffic and sales during the festival weekend.
