Summer comes alive in Saskatoon with a vibrant lineup of festivals in July 2026, offering music, theatre, food, and interactive entertainment for all ages. Here are five events you won't want to miss.
Sask Jazz Fest (July 5-11)
The Saskatchewan Jazz Festival has rebranded as Sask Jazz Fest, featuring a fresh logo and new branding after months of community feedback. The 39th annual event runs July 5-11 in Victoria Park and at venues across the city, with free and ticketed live shows, Yoga in the Park, an artisan market, art by the river, food trucks, a beer garden, and family activities.
Headliners on the TD Mainstage include Modest Mouse, Noah Cyrus, and Bruce Cockburn. Day passes for the park on Monday, Tuesday, and July 10 are priced between $40 and $80, available at saskjazz.com.
“The saying goes that we know that summer is here when the Jazz Fest starts,” said performer Oral Fuentes. “I’m so thankful to be a part of the Jazz Fest free-stage program. Also, excited to see some fans that I haven’t seen all year, that only Jazz Fest draws out.”
Downtown Sidewalk Sale (July 9-11)
Presented by the Downtown Business Improvement District, the 40th annual Downtown Sidewalk Sale offers three days of commerce, culture, and community along 21st Street East and Second Avenue. The event features shopping from local retailers and artisans, food, and live entertainment, drawing thousands of visitors to the downtown area.
For the anniversary, the Stre-eatery Social Block will extend to 7 p.m. each night, with special giveaways and prizes. Joy Friesen, owner of Etceteras, noted, “We’ve been participating in the downtown sale for approximately 30 years, and it’s something we look forward to every summer. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get out in the street, showcase great merchandise, connect with the customers who support downtown businesses and be a part of the excitement and energy that make Saskatoon’s downtown retail scene so special.” The sale runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with free admission.
Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan
Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan presents its 41st season with productions of Much Ado About Nothing and Julius Caesar. Directed by Anita Smith, Much Ado About Nothing is set on the island of Messina, where Claudio falls for pirate captain’s daughter Hero, while Benedick and Beatrice engage in a battle of wits. This high-seas romantic comedy involves lies, betrayal, and treachery but proves that not even a pirate can outsmart their own heart.

Additional July festivals in Saskatoon include the Saskatoon International Fringe Theatre Festival, offering outdoor and indoor performances, and Taste of Saskatchewan, a food festival featuring local cuisine. Details for these events are available through their respective organizers.
