Officers in Tontitown, Arkansas, informed Bay County deputies that a 14-year-old girl reported Joseph Duggar molested her multiple times during a family trip to Panama City Beach when she was 9 years old. The girl's father stated that Joseph Duggar admitted to the abuse in a private conversation this week and later during a phone call with a detective present.

The allegations against Joseph Duggar surface nearly 11 years after it was revealed that his older brother Josh Duggar was under investigation for alleged sexual molestation. Although no charges were filed against Josh Duggar at the time due to the statute of limitations, he was later convicted in 2021 of downloading and possessing child pornography.
