Substantial Investment in Student Support
Commencing in the 2026-27 academic year, Fleming College will allocate $100,000 towards entrance scholarships, benefiting 50 full-time domestic students. Each scholarship will provide a $2,000 award, distributed across five key student groups: mature learners, students enrolling in the new Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography program, skilled trades students, applied health students, and Fleming alumni returning for further studies.

This program builds upon Fleming College's long-standing commitment to student assistance through various bursaries, awards, and scholarships. It introduces a targeted approach to enhance recruitment efforts, improve conversion rates, and support the growth of priority programs. The launch is particularly timely as educational institutions navigate gaps in student support following recent modifications to the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).

The scholarships are funded through a collaborative effort involving donor contributions, including the Fleming Forward Fund, private donors, and revenue from the TD Insurance Affinity program. Eligibility and Automatic Awards
Entrance scholarships will be automatically awarded based on academic achievement and specific eligibility criteria. They are available to full-time domestic students who accept their offer of admission by May 1, 2026, with recipients selected primarily on academic performance.
