Saskatoon Businessman Wanted for Alleged Timber Home Fraud

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Saskatchewan have launched a public search for a Saskatoon man suspected of defrauding customers through his timber home construction business. Jason Pacik, 42, is wanted on two counts of fraud in connection with his company, Prairie Timber Group Limited.

The Investigation and Allegations

According to an RCMP news release, the police force began its investigation into Pacik and his company in January 2024. The business advertised itself as a builder of custom timber homes and other specialized structures.

Investigators state that Pacik, who presented himself as the owner, claimed to be affiliated with a reputable timber home business based in Ontario. This alleged affiliation helped build trust with potential clients.

The RCMP detailed that several customers entered into purchase agreements with Pacik and provided payments for services. However, after sending their money, these individuals found they could no longer contact him. The services they paid for were never delivered.

Description and Call for More Victims

Jason Pacik is described as being five feet seven inches tall with green eyes and brown hair. While police suspect he could still be in the Saskatoon area, his current whereabouts are officially unknown.

He is currently wanted for one count of fraud under $5,000 and one count of fraud over $5,000. The RCMP strongly believe that other people may have been victimized by this scheme who have not yet come forward.

Authorities are encouraging anyone who believes they may have been defrauded by Jason Pacik or Prairie Timber Group Limited to contact their local police service immediately to file a report.
