Unit4, a leader in enterprise cloud applications for people-centric organizations, has announced a new initiative called 'AI for Your World' that allows new and existing ERP customers to trial its AI capabilities without any commitment. Customers who register before December 2026 can access AI tools until August 31, 2027, after which they can choose to subscribe or stop using the technology.
Empowering the Mid-Market with AI
The initiative aims to help mid-market organizations harness AI for innovation, reduce manual tasks, improve decision-making, and build tangible business use cases. According to Unit4 CEO Simon Paris, 'The mid-market has always been an engine of growth for economies around the world, and we want to help build a new generation of AI-enabled mid-market champions.' He added that the commitment-free approach will accelerate innovation and productivity, giving teams time back for work that matters most.
Access to Advanced Virtual Agent Ava
As part of the initiative, customers will have access to Unit4's Advanced Virtual Agent (Ava), which responds to natural language requests through tools like Microsoft Teams. Ava brings tasks to users and provides guidance and insights without requiring them to switch applications. The AI capabilities work across the entire Unit4 ERPx platform, covering finance, HR, people, procurement, and project management processes.
Fair Use and No Surprise Costs
Customers will have full access to Unit4's AI tools with a generous fair use cap set high enough for everyday use without exceeding limits. This ensures there are no surprise costs. To participate, new and existing customers must sign up before December 31, 2026, and can stop using the AI at any time before the August 31, 2027 deadline.
Four Principles Behind Unit4's AI Approach
Unit4's AI strategy is built on four key principles. First, it is designed for the user's world, leveraging 40 years of industry context to create a system of reason rather than a simple record. Second, users stay in control with governance built into the architecture, ensuring actions remain within rules and are attributable. Third, the system gets smarter over time as it learns from tasks, with Ava orchestrating agents for a coordinated view. Fourth, the approach is model agnostic, allowing new capabilities to be plugged in without forcing a rebuild.
